Haven: a venue at the office

This project started by researching office environments, with the intent to understand its impact on the employees. The project was carried out when home offices became the norm in 2021.

Interviews, probe kits and study visits were made. The office's important role as a meeting ground emerged, alongside with the importance of a functioning sound environment.

The project culminated in an investigation of paper as a sound absorber, where the organic fractal pattern is supposed to function both as a breaker for sound waves and to promote well-being among colleagues.

We know that green plants increase well-being in workplaces. Perhaps it is not the green color itself, but the fractal pattern plants form that exude this comfort.

Exhibited at Konstfack spring exhibition 2021.
